USCIS to Undertake Naturalization and Citizenship Certificate Redesign Pilot

The USCIS reported on its website that its field offices in Norfolk, Tampa, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Sacramento, and Nebraska Service Center will participate in a 10-day pilot to re-design citizenship and naturalization certificates to U.S. citizens to deter counterfeiting. The redesign will include enhanced graphics and fraud-resistant security features to critical documents. Once successful, the USCIS will issue the new and redesigned certificates nationwide. Previously issued certificates will remain valid and only lost certificates or certificates with incorrect information should be replaced with the new certificates.
