New York Governor Pardons 18 Undocumented Immigrants

Governor Andrew Cuomo of New York State pardoned 18 undocumented immigrants who are facing deportation and gave them a greater chance of living and working in the U.S. This is in light of the Trump Administration’s directive to the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to deport undocumented immigrants with records of criminal convictions. Governor Cuomo stated that these pardoned undocumented immigrants have reformed and are now productive members of society, many of whom have families and children living in the U.S.
