ICE Director Wants to Charge Sanctuary Cities Officials

Thomas Homan, acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), declared in an interview with Fox News Channel’s Neil Cavuto that officials of so-called sanctuary cities should be criminally charged for refusing to cooperate with the enforcement of the Trump Administration’s immigration policies. In addition, Homan mentions that these officials should be held personally liable for crimes committed by undocumented immigrants. Sanctuary cities have already been threatened in the past months with federal funding cuts in case they refuse to cooperate with the federal government. Sanctuary cities, such as New York, San Francisco, etc., are cities and counties across the U.S. that provide legal assistance and protection to undocumented immigrants.
