Eleven More Cities and Counties Defending Immigrants in Risk of Deportation

The nonprofit organization, Vera Institute of Justice, established the Safety and Fairness for Everyone (SAFE) Cities Network that will provide legal assistance to immigrants at risk of deportation. The cities and counties included in the Safe Cities Network are: Atlanta; Austin; Baltimore; Chicago; Columbus, Ohio; Dane County, Wisconsin; Oakland and Alameda County, California; Prince George’s County, Maryland; Sacramento; San Antonio; and Santa Ana, California.

These cities and counties are in addition to the sanctuaries cities (Los Angeles, San Francisco, Washington D.C., and New York City) already providing legal assistance to immigrants.
