The Democratic National Committee on January 2 (Tuesday) released a video series in support of a Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals (DACA) legislation that is hoped by hundreds of thousands of young immigrants to be made into law by Congress and Senate early this year before the March 2018 deadline. The video series displays statistics and particular stories of individual immigrants who were previous recipients of the DACA program.
The Trump Administration in September 5, 2017 rescinded the Obama-era DACA program that allowed more than 800,000 young undocumented immigrants who were brought into the country as minors to live and work in the country. Trump has asked Congress and Senate to pass a more comprehensive DACA legislation before the March 2018 deadline. If a DACA legislation is not passed, the 800,000 young undocumented immigrants will be facing deportation and possibly separated from their families.
