California Employers Assisting ICE Will be Prosecuted by California Attorney General

California Attorney General Xavier Becerra at a press conference issued a warning to California employers who give information regarding their employees or help Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations in any way is a violation of the California Immigrant Worker Protection Act that will subject violators to prosecution including fines of $10,000. This is in light of rumors of planned mass immigration raids by ICE against undocumented immigrants in California. ICE Acting Director Thomas Homan, in a past interview with Fox News, gave a stern warning to uncooperative States, such as California, that the federal government will conduct immigration raids whether the local States cooperate or not.
