Isabel Lallana is admitted to practice law in California, New York and in the US District Court Northern District of Illinois. For over 20 years, Ms. Lallana was senior litigation counsel for California’s State Compensation Insurance Fund and has tried numerous cases before the California trial courts and appeared before the California Court of Appeal and California Supreme Court. She participated as the second chair in the leading California case State Compensation Insurance Fund v WPS, 60 Cal. App. 4th 644 (1999), prescribing the ethical duty of an attorney who receives inadvertently produced privileged attorney-client and attorney work product materials. Ms. Lallana acted as lead attorney in Antelope Valley Press v Poizner and State Fund 162 Cal. App. 4th 839 (2008), involving employment status of newspaper delivery carriers, found to be employees and not independent contractors.
Ms. Lallana received her undergraduate degree in Economics, and her law degree from the University of the Philippines. She has a master of law in Corporations Law from the New York University School of Law.
Ms. Lallana is well versed in the area of employment law and brings her expertise to the Madrid Crost Law Group in its immigration-related employment law practice. She also has expertise in work-related disability and currently practices in the area of social security disability.
